Diazepam is N-demethylated by CYP3A4 and 2C19 to the Lively metabolite N-desmethyldiazepam, which is hydroxylated by CYP3A4 towards the active metabolite temazepam. N-desmethyldiazepam and temazepam are both of those further metabolized to oxazepam. Temazepam and oxazepam are largely eradicated by glucuronidation.The more significant withdrawal ind
